Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Thankyou soo much for joining!
I’m sure you all know by now what the blog post is going to be about today….. that’s right, skincare! So, I thought I would share some of my skincare essentials with you because let’s face it, we all have those products that we just can’t live without! I recently uploaded a beauty essentials blog post, however this one is going to focus more on skincare so you can all get to know what essentials I have!#

Here are my top skincare essentials that everyone should have…
- Clay Face mask
You all know I LOVE face mask, no matter what kind of face mask, I just LOVE them! Most Sunday’s I put a face mask on and chill out, I think it’s such a good thing to do; it prepares me for the week ahead!! My skin always feels incredible after I’ve had a face mask on and I think it’s an absolute essential – make sure you add it to your beauty routine!
- Eye Cream
This is an absolute essential! The skin around our eyes is so thin and delicate which means it can be more prone to dryness, so protecting it really is important. Make sure you moisturise under your eyes, over and around the sides of your eyes to keep the skin moisturised and looking smooth. A lot of people think that because they use a face moisturiser that should be sufficient enough for your eyes, however with the eye area being so delicate it’s best to use an eye cream which has been specifically developed for your eyes. *remember to massage it in properly because the massaging effect you use is great for reducing puffiness and dark circles (little tip for you there!)
- Tinted Moisturiser
Okay so this is a real life saver on those days where you just cannot be bothered to put makeup on or days where you want a little bit of coverage but not too much. It gives you a little colour whilst moisturising your skin as well – what more could you wish for? During lockdown, I really haven’t worn that much makeup at all, but some days it’s nice to pop a little bit of tinted moisturiser on to give you a glow.
- Face mist/setting spray
When I first heard about this product, I literally thought it’s just overpriced water in a bottle. However I have used a facial mist for SO long now and I couldn’t imagine not using one. It fights dryness, keeps skin hydrated and leaves your skin looking glowy! It’s super refreshing and the best thing is, they work on pretty much all skin types (which is kind of a rare thing!!) I also use them prep my skin before my makeup and also set my makeup – it’s such a versatile product that I would absolutely class as an essential product!
- Exfoliator/Cleanser/Toner
I’ve put these together because although they are 3 very different products, they all work together well and are an essential part of your skincare routine. I feel like without these 3 main products, you probably haven’t got a good skincare routine – these are an absolute must. (If you want to learn more about these products, head over to my other blog posts so you can read about them in more detail!!)
- Serum
Yes yes and yes! A good serum is an absolute essential especially if you are concerned about large pores or fine lines. Face serums absorb quickly into the skin, protects your face from damage and can improve the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles. You can get so many different kinds of serums; anti-ageing, hydrating, skin-brightening etc – so you need to find one that targets your skin best!
- SPF
A lot of moisturisers tend to have SPF in them but you can also use a moisturiser separate from your sunscreen – it’s entirely up to you! SPF helps to protect our skin from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays as they can cause long term sun damage to our skin. You should wear SPF everyday, even on days when the sun isn’t really out – applying SPF should just become a natural habit and part of your everyday routine.
- Moisturiser/Day & Night Cream
Moisturisers, also known as emollients, are complex mixtures of chemical agents specially made to make the external layers of the skin more flexible and softer and they are used for protecting, moisturising, and lubricating the skin. They can also help in protecting sensitive skin, improving skin tone and masking imperfections. I use a day cream in the morning and a night cream in the evening – again, it’s entirely up to you but these are definitely an essential for me!
So how many products on this list have you already got?? I’m sure there are many other essentials that we all need but I had to pick a few to share with you all! I’ve only listed one kind of face mask, but in all honesty, I could talk about the different kinds of face masks all day because I just love them!! Please feel free to comment below if you have any you would like to share, you know I love hearing from you all!
Have a great Sunday everyone!!
