Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! I hope you are all well!
If you suffer from dry, sensitive skin, then you will be the first to agree with me when I say how frustrating it can be to find good skincare products that will treat the affected areas. The thought of putting together a skincare routine can be extremely overwhelming. From cleansers and moisturisers to toners and serums; there is quite literally thousands to choose from! However, if you have sensitive skin, that can mean your choices are a little more limited, so before you buy any products, you really need to read the ingredients and know what is right for your skin. If you need any advice with this, then click here to read one of my older blog posts which covers everything you need to know about your skin type.

Okay so the most confusing thing about sensitive skin is the fact it can be so different for everyone. You might be prone to redness, rosacea or psoriasis/eczema OR maybe your skin is just easily irritated by certain common ingredients. It’s also important to take into consideration the environmental factors such as wind or pollution as your skin may react to this more. Either way, if you know you have sensitive skin, it’s always best to look for more gentle products as they tend to not have irritating ingredients in them.
I’m sure at some point, we’ve all skipped certain parts of our skincare routine, especially after a long day. But, for example, cleansing is such an essential step for dry/sensitive skin, because most products leave some sort of residue on your skin so using a mild cleanser can remove any impurities ready for your night-time routine.
Knowing what to pick really can be a minefield (no exaggeration) which is why I’ve rounded up some of the best products for sensitive skin.
1 // The INKEY List Oat Cleansing Balm 150ml

If ever you need to find the perfect skincare product for sensitive skin, then this could be the one! This formula is deeply moisturising and hydrating and it smooths away any dryness and revives the dehydrated areas. The 1% Oat Powder is extra soothing and helps to calm skin for an irritation-free finish.
2 // Weleda Skin Food 75ml – Light

This lotion calms and nourishes dry/sensitive skin; the combination of the Organic Sunflower Oil with natural extracts of Calendula, Pansy and Chamomile is perfect to hydrate and calm your skin. After using this product, the skin is instantly moisturised and soothed to relieve dryness and irritation.
3 // Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Facial Cleanser for Dry or Dehydrated Skin 200ml

This hydrating gel cleanser activates with water to gently lift away dirt, makeup and oil from the complexion. It locks in moisture and will leave your skin feeling refreshed and supple. Generally, gel cleansers work for all skin types, however they are particularly good for anyone with sensitive skin as they cleanse in a more gentle and hydrating way, without being too harsh.
4 // VICHY Purete Thermale Perfecting Toner

This toner is gentle yet effective and removes leftover impurities and reduces the size of pores; ultimately leaving your skin feeling cleansed and refreshed. This formula contains antioxidant Vitamin E and hydrating glycerin and it has been tested on sensitive skin under dermatological control – win win!
5 // Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Sleepair Intensive Mask

How nice would it be to wake up to a calmer and more harmonious complexion? Well the Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Sleepair Intensive Mask will do just that! The overnight treatment is packed full of soothing ingredients, from Tiger Grass and Yarrow to Chlorophyll and Houttuynia Cordata Extract – this combination works through the night to reduce the appearance of redness and irritation. Not only that, it will also nourish, hydrate and protect the skin. It really is a great product for anyone with sensitive skin.
6 // La Roche-Posay Effaclar Clarifying Lotion

This clarifying lotion has been specifically formulated for sensitive skin that is oily and prone to spots, imperfections and enlarged pores. You will need to use this after cleansing as it helps to remove any excess oils/impurities. It will also unblock large pores and it will noticeable reduce their appearance as well (finding a product that does this for sensitive skin can be difficult, so it’s definitely worth it!)
